Curriculum

Here you will find a collection of my unit and lesson plans, made freely available under a CC BY-NC 4.0 license. I have been developing and refining these lessons over the years. All lessons are aligned to the New York State Next Generation State Standards for English Language Arts and New York Social Emotional Learning Benchmarks and assume 40-minute class periods. These units are not necessarily sequential, but they occasionally build on skills and strategies taught in other units. I have presented them in the order in which I usually teach them, but you may be able to slot them around according to your needs.

These lessons are free because I believe in open source ideals. If you find these lessons useful and have the means to do so, you can send me a few dollars as a tip. This money goes straight to me, not some corporation that profits off the hard work of underpaid teachers.^[1]
